The Office as a Project was launched in 2017 as a Space Planning, Research and Design consultancy. The goal of the Project is to reimagine the field of workplace design by placing the worker at its centre. Since 2020, as hybrid work has proliferated and offices have reentered our popular consciousness, we have remained dedicated to our buzzword-free, research-based & user-first approach to design.
Michael trained and practiced as an architect in Toronto & Los Angeles before taking the role of the first Architecture Advisor for the co-working workspace provider & social enterprise, Second Home, in London. He represented Second Home on all global projects from 2015 to August 2017. These projects have been published extensively, and has been widely referenced as an important touchpoint in contemporary workplace design. He recently practiced as a senior architect for Lebel & Bouliane in Toronto, specializing in commercial workspaces, community spaces and adaptive reuse. He is a licensed Architect in the United States (New York State).
The Office as a Project has worked with a variety of clients of across the world, including Para Site art space, Allsteel/HNI, Prophet, Lippincott, the UK National Infrastructure Commission & SMEs of all sizes.
